Child Dental Benefits Schedule -CDBS

The Child Dental Benefits Schedule (CDBS) provides basic dental services for children and adolescents from 2 to 17 years old.

If your child is entitled to CDBS subsidy, our clinic can directly reimburse your child’s medical expenses in a unified manner, and you don’t need to pay for it immediately.

Qualification:

• Be between 2 and 17 years old within the calendar year of the review;
• Are eligible for Medicare; and
• The child or you yourself are receiving subsidies from the Australian government.

Child Dental Benefits Schedule scope of benefits:

• The benefit of basic dental services is a maximum of $1000 per child for two consecutive calendar years.
• This benefit covers a series of services such as examination, X-ray photography, tooth cleaning, pit and fissure sealing, fillings, root canal treatment and tooth extraction.

However, this benefit does not apply to orthodontics or dental cosmetics, nor can it be used to pay for hospitalization.
